We're partnering with a large, multi-entity organisation seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.
Reporting into and working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax obligations, consolidations and process improvement initiatives, while mentoring and supporting junior finance team members in their professional development.

What You'll Be Doing Lead the preparation of monthly, half-year and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting Mentor, support and provide technical guidance to junior finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment Assist with workflow management, review work completed by junior staff and help develop best-practice accounting processes Support the delivery of consolidated group reporting, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency adjustments and compliance with Australian accounting standards Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts,



disclosures and supporting schedules for annual reporting requirements Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting outcomes Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities Provide technical oversight of journals and accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage indirect tax obligations including GST, payroll tax, PAYG and other regulatory reporting requirements Coordinate annual Fringe Benefits Tax and Income Tax Return processes with internal and external stakeholders Partner with operational and finance teams to resolve accounting, allocation and reporting queries Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities Support external audit requirements and assist in driving continuous improvement across finance processes About You CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline Big 4 or mid-tier chartered experience will be viewed favourably Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching or leading junior finance professionals Advanced Excel skills and confidence working within complex ERP environments Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen and the ability to manage competing priorities What's on Offer Exposure to a sophisticated group finance environment Leadership responsibilities without moving away from technical accounting Broad scope across reporting, tax, compliance and business partnering High level of autonomy and ownership Supportive leadership team that values development and progression Modern office environment and collaborative culture Opportunity to influence processes, mentor others and contribute to ongoing business growth If you're looking for a role that combines technical depth, leadership and genuine business impact, we'd love to hear from you.
