About the Role: We are seeking a qualified Urban and Regional Planner to support the strategic planning and development of our infrastructure and service expansion projects.
This role is central to our growth, focusing on land-use planning, infrastructure siting, and navigating regulatory approvals while ensuring strict alignment with environmental and community considerations.
Key Responsibilities Compile and analyse land use, demographic, environmental, infrastructure, and planning data to support urban, regional, and infrastructure development projects.
Prepare planning assessments, feasibility studies, and strategic planning reports to assist clients with development proposals and land use decisions.
Develop and recommend land use strategies, subdivision layouts, and planning solutions that comply with State, regional, and local planning policies.




Prepare and coordinate development applications, planning proposals, rezoning submissions, and supporting planning documentation for council and government approval.
Liaise with local councils, government authorities, developers, architects, engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and other stakeholders throughout the planning process.
Assess planning controls, zoning requirements, environmental constraints, and statutory regulations to ensure projects achieve planning compliance.
Review environmental impact assessments, technical reports, and infrastructure studies to identify planning issues and recommend practical solutions.
Provide planning advice for residential, commercial, infrastructure, telecommunications, and land subdivision projects, ensuring sustainable and commercially viable outcomes.
Monitor changes to planning legislation, zoning provisions, development controls, and building regulations, and provide guidance on their impact on current and future projects.
Participate in meetings, stakeholder consultations, and discussions with clients, councils, and community representatives to explain planning proposals and resolve planning matters Support the coordination of multidisciplinary projects by working closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and construction teams to deliver compliant, sustainable, and timely development outcomes.
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a relevant degree qualification.
2–3 years of relevant professional experience in a planning or consultancy workplace.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder negotiation.
Ability to navigate complex planning frameworks across different Australian jurisdictions.
