Senior Data Analyst Contract for 6 months | Brisbane City AO6/1 level $***** per hour We are partnering with a leading Queensland Government to recruit an experienced Senior Data Analyst.
In this role you will maintain a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources to provide insights about the procurement profile, performance and practices (e.g. market analysis, spend analysis, tendering and contract analysis, trends, insights).

Key responsibilities: Maintain a range of data, analysis and reporting to support strategic Category Management Planning; helping to develop analysis that has strategic, rather than tactical or operational, impact.

Provide support to projects that use a range of data sources to identify savings and business improvements for the client and our customers.
?
Maintain predictive models to provide forecasts of procurement activity and factors that influence procurement outcomes.
Critical to this role is developing understanding of contemporary trends and developments in analytics tools and methods.

Use a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources to provide data, analysis and reporting to support specific projects and initiatives as required; use a range of techniques, including visual narrative to communicate insights and key findings to key stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining effective networks, and consulting with internal and external customers, interest groups,



other government agencies and other stakeholders.

Assist in the management and coordination of multiple resources to complete assigned activities within timeframes.
?
Provide accurate and timely advice of customer business requirements, legislative requirements and system configuration, current trends and product.
?
Assist teams in the development and maintenance of various excel format documents to assist in their day-to-day tendering activities.
?
Supervision and mentoring of the Data Analyst position within the Portfolio Management Office.

What we're looking for?
Demonstrated analytical capability to develop, present and maintain significant informed analysis from large and complex data sets utilising a variety of tools and business systems (e.g. ERP systems, data visualisation software, Microsoft Excel etc.).
