Join Western District Health Service as an Occupational Therapist – Grade 2 , where you'll play a key leadership role within a supportive and progressive Allied Health team while delivering high-quality, client-centred care across a variety of clinical settings.
This opportunity is ideal for current Grade 1 or Grade 2 Occupational Therapists seeking to expand their clinical expertise, contribute to service development, and support the ongoing growth of the Occupational Therapy Department within a collaborative rural health service.
What You'll Be Doing As an Occupational Therapist – Grade 2, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services while supporting the leadership and development of the department.
Clinical Assessment Intervention — Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments, treatment, and interventions for inpatient, ambulatory, and aged care clients, supporting optimal health outcomes and independence.
Leadership Mentoring — Support the Occupational Therapy Manager and contribute to the professional development of team members through mentoring, clinical guidance, and leadership activities.
Client-Centred Care — Deliver evidence-based, person-centred services that recognise the goals, preferences, and individual needs of clients, families, and carers.
Service Development Improvement — Actively contribute to the ongoing development, evaluation, and improvement of occupational therapy services, ensuring contemporary and effective clinical practice.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration — Work closely with medical, nursing, allied health, and community teams to deliver coordinated and integrated care across the continuum of services.
Quality Professional Practice — Maintain professional standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and support compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation requirements, and organisational policies.




What You Bring Qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration Demonstrated clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 or Grade 2) Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills across a range of healthcare settings Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Experience supporting colleagues, students, or junior staff (desirable) Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement Understanding of professional standards, clinical governance, and quality frameworks Why Join Western District Health Service?
