Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician Gosford, Central Coast NSW Part Time, ***** hours, Mon/Thu/Fri Remuneration under the enterprise agreement Our client is looking to hire a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician to join the cardiac catheterisation laboratory team, supporting a complex electrophysiology list on a permanent part time basis.
About the Facility A large private hospital on the NSW Central Coast, with two cardiac catheterisation laboratories, nine operating theatres and a dedicated heart centre providing diagnostic and interventional cardiac care to the region.
The electrophysiology list covers radiofrequency, cryoablation and pulsed field ablation.
The Role You will report to the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory Nurse Unit Manager and work directly alongside the electrophysiologist, the cath lab nursing team and the manufacturer representatives who attend for mapping.
The unit runs EP-WorkMate Claris.
There are two to three EP lists each week, on Monday, Thursday and Friday, with an occasional Wednesday.
There is no on-call and no after-hours component.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and operating the EP recording and haemodynamic monitoring systems Supporting diagnostic electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation Supporting pulmonary vein isolation and AF ablation, SVT and VT ablation, atrial tachycardia and flutter ablation, and PVC ablation Acquiring, analysing and interpreting intracardiac electrograms under the direction of the electrophysiologist Performing pacing manoeuvres and programmed electrical stimulation as directed Equipment safety checks,
fault identification and troubleshooting during live cases Consumable inventory and stock management for the EP service Liaison with device and mapping representatives attending the laboratory What You Will Need Either current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or a Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree Recent experience in a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, an electrophysiology laboratory or a cardiac device service Experience supporting diagnostic EP studies and catheter ablation Experience operating an EP recording and haemodynamic monitoring system Working knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, electrophysiology and arrhythmia mechanisms Current BLS certification Availability across Monday, Thursday and Friday, with occasional Wednesday Willingness to work with occasional radiation exposure wearing lead protection Unrestricted right to work in Australia What Is On Offer Remuneration under the enterprise agreement Permanent part-time appointment, 16 to 24 contracted hours per week Fixed, known days: Monday, Thursday and Friday, with an occasional Wednesday No on-call and no after-hours requirement A complex electrophysiology list including pulsed field ablation Two cardiac catheterisation laboratories within an established heart centre Flexibility in how the contracted hours are structured Central Coast location, around 75 minutes from Sydney and 90 minutes from Newcastle To apply, simply email your CV to ***************** in confidence and one of our recruitment specialists will contact you.
