super We're partnering with a well-known enterprise organisation undergoing a significant uplift of its cloud data platform, and they're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering core data platform capability.
This is a genuinely impactful role working on a business-critical data platform transformation, helping modernise how data is ingested, processed, and consumed across the organisation.
You'll be joining a collaborative engineering team focused on building scalable, cloud-native data solutions that support both BAU operations and strategic data initiatives.
What you'll be doing: Designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines in Azure Developing data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and PySpark Working extensively with Spark notebooks and Synapse workspaces Supporting the ongoing evolution of the organisation's cloud data platform Building robust ETL / ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data Partnering with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions Driving engineering best practice across performance,



scalability and maintainability Contributing to both project delivery and BAU platform improvement Tech environment: Azure Synapse Analytics PySpark / Apache Spark Azure Data Platform SQL Data modelling ETL / ELT pipeline development CI/CD exposure highly regarded Broader Azure ecosystem experience beneficial What we're looking for: Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise environments Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse + PySpark Strong understanding of modern cloud data engineering patterns Experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed data processing workloads Strong SQL and data modelling capability Ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders Someone who enjoys solving complex platform and data engineering challenges Nice to have: Exposure to Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments Infrastructure-as-code / DevOps exposure This is a great chance to join a business investing heavily in its data capability, where you'll have real ownership and visibility while working with modern cloud technologies.
