Graphic Designer Cairns or Townsville | Full-Time Opportunity | 6 Months with possible extension Are you a creative designer who thrives on turning complex information into engaging visual content?
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join a dynamic communications team, delivering high-quality creative solutions that inform, inspire and connect with stakeholders and communities across North Queensland.
Based in either Cairns or Townsville , this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of print, digital, video and online projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
The position is office-based, with flexible work arrangements available following an initial probation period.
About the Role As Graphic Designer, you'll be responsible for developing compelling visual communications that support stakeholder engagement and community-focused initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include: Designing and producing a broad range of communication materials including brochures, publications, presentations, social media assets, digital advertising, displays and video content Translating complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual solutions Providing expert advice on design,



branding and digital communications Managing multiple projects and competing priorities to meet deadlines Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external creative suppliers Ensuring all creative outputs align with brand standards and accessibility requirements Contributing to continuous improvement of visual communication processes and services About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven graphic design experience within a corporate, government or large organisational environment Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro Experience creating content across print, digital and video platforms Strong understanding of branding and visual communication principles Excellent organisation, time management and stakeholder engagement skills The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality creative work Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including accessible PDFs and Word documents Highly Regarded Five or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or creative design Relevant tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related discipline Experience working within government or highly regulated environments Why Apply?
