An exciting opportunity is available for a Director – Emergency Department at Launceston General Hospital, the major acute referral hospital for Northern Tasmania.
What's on offer?
• Fixed-term, full-time appointment (3 years) • Salary package from $222,789 – $319,701+ plus superannuation • Management allowance up to 20% • Private practice opportunities or allowance in lieu • Fully maintained vehicle or motor vehicle allowance • CPD allowance of $17,483 per annum • Relocation assistance up to $10,000 • Salary packaging benefits and extensive leave entitlements About the role This position provides clinical and strategic leadership of the Emergency Department, working closely with medical, nursing and executive teams to drive patient care, workforce planning, clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.




Essential requirements • Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Emergency Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia • Extensive senior Emergency Medicine experience • Solid leadership, governance and service improvement expertise Why Tasmania?
