The Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC) invests in world leading research, development and extension (RD&E;) to benefit Australia's agile cotton industry and the national interest. CRDC was formed under the Primary Industries Research and Development Act**** and is funded by levies from cotton growers and matching funds from the Australian Government. Innovation and collaboration underpin CRDC's investment strategy: from regional activities and cotton industry specific ventures to national cross sectoral partnerships and international relationships.
Applications are sought for part time, Non-Executive Directors of CRDC for a term of up to three years, commencing 1 October ****.
Applications will be assessed by a selection committee for nomination to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Nominations will be based upon experience in board affairs, appropriate diversity and the skills and experience of an applicant in one or more of the following fields:
data governance and application
digital literacy – ability to learn, adapt and apply digital innovation
science, technology and technology transfer
social science and change management
innovation and commercialisation
cotton production and processing
environmental stewardship
economics or finance
public administration and corporate governance
international marketing and trade.
