This is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career in the engineering industry while completing a Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication (Heavy Fabrication Stream) .
You'll receive hands-on training from experienced tradespeople and develop practical skills in welding, fabrication, cutting, grinding and metalwork within a professional workshop environment.
Position Details Location: Mooroopna, VIC Employment Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship (38 hours per week) Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm, Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm Benefits The ability to earn money while learning a trade Obtain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Mentoring from experienced industry professionals All training fees paid for PPE provided throughout the apprenticeship Hands-on experience using industry-standard equipment Develop valuable welding and fabrication skills Long-term career opportunities within the engineering industry Duties May Include Examining and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Welding components using a variety of welding techniques Fabricating and assembling metal products and structures Cutting, grinding and shaping metal materials Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Operating welding equipment and fabrication machinery Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Assisting qualified tradespeople with fabrication projects About You Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with the right to work in Australia Completion of Year 10 High School Genuine interest in welding, fabrication and engineering Robust work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to follow instructions and work safely Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills Drivers Licence desirable but not essential Reliable, punctual and committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship About Us Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation that partners with Australia's best companies, producing powerful outcomes for apprentices and trainees.
