Hunter Manning are supporting our client, a well-established WA business, in their search for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to cover a maternity leave contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a hands-on role and make an immediate impact within a rapid-paced, multi-site finance team.
The Role Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial accounting function, including: Leading month-end close, including journals, accruals and general ledger integrity checks Preparing weekly and monthly KPI reporting and supporting the CFO with financial analysis and insights Managing statutory compliance, including BAS, GST and payroll tax Reviewing and improving reconciliation processes across finance systems Conducting financial analysis of operations and projects Liaising with internal stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and support decision-making Assisting with the preparation of financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards Identifying and implementing process and system improvements across the group About You CA/CPA qualified with minimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience Proven experience owning month-end close and reporting processes hands-on, with minimal oversight Comfortable being deeply involved in the detail — this is a doing role, not just an oversight role Strong technical accounting knowledge and up-to-date understanding of relevant standards Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across all levels of the business Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems Able to commit to the duration of the contract Based in Perth, with full working rights in Australia Why Apply This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on senior finance role, work closely with an experienced CFO, and make a genuine impact during a critical period for the business.
