Clinician - Melbourne VIC Location: Melbourne, VIC Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate clinician to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe support to individuals experiencing mental health, psychosocial, and life challenges.
Key Responsibilities Conduct intake, assessment, triage, risk assessments, and referrals.
Deliver counselling, brief therapeutic interventions, advocacy, and case management.
Support people experiencing mental health concerns, family violence, substance use, housing instability, financial hardship, and other complex barriers.
Provide crisis intervention and immediate mental health support where required.
Develop strategies that promote resilience, wellbeing, independence, and positive life outcomes.
Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to coordinate support.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with professional, ethical, and organisational standards.
About You Qualified Psychologist, Social Worker, Counsellor, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, or equivalent allied health professional.
Relevant professional registration or membership (AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA, or equivalent).
Experience working with individuals experiencing complex psychosocial and mental health challenges.
Strong skills in assessment, counselling, risk management, crisis response, and case management.
Excellent communication,



documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently in a rapid-paced environment while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred practice.
Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification and professional accreditation.
Current Working with Children Check and/or Working with Vulnerable People registration (or ability to obtain).
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Ability to meet any required screening or security clearance requirements.
