The Chance An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant/Accounts Payable professional to join a rapidly growing and highly successful business based on the Northern Beaches.
This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of transactional AP work and broader accounting exposure, while being part of a close-knit and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities End-to-end Accounts Payable processing Invoice processing, coding and batching Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships Processing payment runs Downloading and reconciling bank statements Vendor account reconciliations and creditor statement reconciliations Processing staff expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions Assisting with month-end close,
journals and reporting requirements Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc accounting tasks Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and responding to phone enquiries Supporting the wider finance team where required The Culture This organisation places genuine significant emphasis on cultural fit and long-term success.

About you: Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant position Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities A proactive, team-first attitude and willingness to assist where needed Strong communication and relationship-building skills Resilience, adaptability and wants to join a fun team!
Experience using Xero/Myob will be highly regarded, though not essential.
