Senior Project Manager – Data Platform Transformation We are partnering with a major Australian organisation on a strategically significant, organisation-wide data platform transformation.
This is a delivery leadership role at the centre of the program, and migration is the piece that will make or break it.
You will own the delivery planning, sequencing and execution readiness for the migration of data off legacy platforms and onto a new enterprise data platform.
That means cutover planning, testing coordination, dependency management, decommissioning readiness and the governance checkpoints that keep it all defensible.
Architecture and engineering leads set the migration strategy and technical acceptance criteria.
You make sure it lands, on time, with minimal disruption to the business.
Alongside migration, you will coordinate platform implementation, data product enablement, data marketplace delivery and AI-ready data foundation activity, plus the governance forums, executive reporting, budgets and vendor relationships that sit around them.
What we are looking for 5 to 10 years in senior project management roles,



with large-scale enterprise data platform delivery from initiation through to adoption Demonstrable data migration experience: cutover planning, sequencing, testing coordination, legacy decommissioning and migration risk management Robust grounding in modern data ecosystems, including data warehousing, data lakes, data products, metadata management and data catalogues Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, from executives and business leaders through to engineering and delivery partners Comfortable across Agile, hybrid and traditional delivery, with solid budget, vendor and dependency management Formal project management certification and a relevant tertiary qualification.
Cloud, data architecture or data governance certifications are well regarded Why this one The migration piece is substantial and highly visible.
You will be the person translating technical complexity into business language for a senior audience, and the outcome is a modern, governed and AI-ready data platform that the organisation will run on for years.
