Our client is offering a new opportunity for a Power Systems Engineer to join and support the growth of its NSW team.
In this role, you will lead transmission, distribution, and primary electrical design programs, overseeing a wide range of activities from inception to completion.
This includes technical design, bid preparation, scope development, and client negotiations, while managing ongoing relationships.
You will be responsible for driving results, managing client expectations, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
About the Role: Develop and deliver high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems, including transmission substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems.
Design and develop primary electrical systems for HV substations.
Collaborate with the internal engineering team to create detailed designs for HV systems,



including specifications, equipment layout, sizing, cable design, load flow, insulation coordination, earthing, and lightning protection studies.
Provide technical and supervisory support to ensure design excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Play a key role in delivering flagship projects, working closely with project teams to meet timelines and specifications.
About You: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia.
Experience in primary engineering design for HV/EHV substations (132kV+).
Expertise in power system/transmission engineering, with a robust background in cable ratings and renewable energy grid connections.
CDEGS and PLS-CADD software experience.
In-depth knowledge of Australian industry standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
