Benefits Join a successful and growing Australian-owned food manufacturer Take ownership of varied NPD and product-improvement projects from concept through to launch Work within a collaborative innovation team supporting major retail and foodservice customers The Role Reporting to the Senior Food Scientist, the Food Technologist will support the development and launch of new products alongside improvements to the existing product portfolio.
This is an end-to-end development role covering product formulation, ingredient substitution, cost-reduction initiatives, manufacturing optimisation, shelf-life trials and packaging solutions.
You will work closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Sales to ensure projects are commercially viable, technically sound and successfully transitioned into full-scale manufacturing.




Key Responsibilities Lead new and existing product-development projects from initial concept through to commercial launch Develop product formulations and coordinate factory trials alongside Operations and Supply Chain Deliver ingredient-substitution, cost-reduction, shelf-life and manufacturing-optimisation projects Ensure products comply with FSANZ, food-safety, labelling and customer requirements Prepare and maintain product specifications, nutritional information, ingredient declarations and R D documentation About You Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline At least three years' experience within food manufacturing, ideally within bakery or a similarly complex environment Demonstrated experience delivering NPD and product-improvement projects from concept through to commercialisation Strong understanding of FSANZ, HACCP, GMP, product formulations, nutritional information and ingredient declarations Solid analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with exposure to BRC or major customer standards advantageous More Information For a brief, confidential discussion about this role or your next career move, please contact Khalid Belhaj on ************ or ****** By engaging Miller Leith for recruitment services and/or career support, you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy and Candidate Consent Form.
