The Oakley Group Pty Ltd t/a Oakley Pods Carpenter (ANZSCO – ******) Full-time/Permanent $80,000 - $85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out carpentry and installation work associated with the manufacture, assembly and on-site installation of Oakley Pods' modular and prefabricated building projects.
Construct, assemble and install timber wall frames, floor systems, roof structures and other structural components used in modular pods and building units.
Install external and internal walls, doors, windows, roofing, cladding, insulation and interior finishes in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Undertake internal fit-out work including the installation of skirting boards, architraves, doors, door hardware, locks, cabinetry supports and other finishing components.
Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, measurements and specifications to determine work sequences, dimensions and material requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install timber and other construction materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
Carry out carpentry work both at the Oakley Pods workshop and at client or project sites, including installation, alterations, repairs and finishing work.
Assist with the delivery and installation of completed modular pods,
ensuring components are correctly aligned, securely fitted and finished to the required standard.
Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure accuracy, quality of finish and compliance with project specifications and workplace standards.
Work independently when required while maintaining a high level of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
Coordinate with other trades, supervisors and team members involved in the manufacture, transport and installation of modular building projects.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a protected, clean and serviceable condition and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients when attending installation or project sites and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
Demonstrate a positive, reliable and proactive approach to work, including identifying and resolving practical carpentry and installation issues as they arise.
Qualification and Experience: Cert III in Carpentry, including 2 years of on-the-job training, or Cert IV in Carpentry.
1 years' post-qualification relevant work experience is essential.
3 years' of relevant experience may substitute the need for having formal qualification.
