Overall package in the mid-to-upper $100ks, aligned to experience Permanent 10/4 DIDO roster with accommodation, meals and daily allowance Company vehicle, modern equipment and genuine scope to build a surveying team The Prospect Appoint Recruit is partnering with an established, family-owned civil contractor delivering energy and infrastructure projects throughout the Surat Basin, Darling Downs and regional Queensland.
As part of its continued growth, the business is investing in a permanent in-house surveying capability and is seeking an experienced Civil Project Surveyor to take ownership of the function.
This is a hands-on, high-trust role working directly with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors.
You will manage survey requirements from initial control and set-out through to verification and final as-builts, while helping establish consistent internal systems and processes.
The project portfolio includes BESS, solar, substations, concrete structures, earthworks, roads, drainage and broader civil infrastructure.
The Role You will act as the business's internal surveying specialist, supporting multiple project teams and ensuring survey information is accurate, practical and delivered in line with construction priorities.
The position will suit someone who is comfortable operating autonomously in the field while maintaining strong communication with engineering and site delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities Manage field-to-finish surveying across multiple civil projects Establish survey control and complete set-out, verification and as-builts Interpret drawings, designs and specifications, identifying discrepancies early Coordinate survey priorities with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors Maintain accurate survey data, records and quality documentation Develop consistent internal surveying systems and procedures Support the future growth of the function,
including building a team over time About You You will be a practical construction Surveyor capable of managing project surveying requirements with minimal supervision.
Formal registration is not essential.
The business places greater value on proven onsite capability, sound technical judgement and the ability to work effectively with project delivery teams.
This role could suit an experienced Civil, Engineering, Construction or Project Surveyor, or a highly capable Surveying Technician ready to take greater ownership.
You will ideally bring: Strong field-to-finish civil construction surveying experience Confidence across survey control, set-out, verification and as-builts Experience supporting earthworks, concrete, roads or energy projects Proficiency with contemporary surveying equipment and software Strong communication and construction problem-solving skills A current driver licence, White Card and Australian working rights Why Consider This Role?
