Job Description The Key responsibilities of this role are; Implement and deliver management accounting services, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislative requirements and statutory obligations Lead the development and implementation of financial management compliance framework, ensuring that internal financial controls are operating efficiently, effectively, and economically.
Provide strategic advice and guidance on financial performance, identifying improvement areas, cost-saving opportunities, and new funding strategies; and strategic procurement strategies Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, providing expert advice to the Executive Director and Executive Leadership Team.
Oversee and provide assurance in the procurement and contract management function, driving best value outcomes Identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio through financial performance analysis,



ensuring achievement of financial targets and timely, accurate forecasts.
Assist in developing and reviewing the reporting systems, policies, procedures, guidelines and systems to facilitate effective financial management.
Exercise high level interpersonal, consultation and communication skills with stakeholders, team members and external contacts.
Provide advice, guidance, and direction to the Senior Finance Officer and Senior Facilities, Procurement and Contract Management Officer The Successful Applicant A successful candidate should have: Proven expertise in financial management within the public sector.
Robust knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
Experience leading and managing teams effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
