Experienced AOD Social Worker required for this remote NT service.
The service is a voluntary service assisting clients within Tennant Creek Hospital, Tennant Creek Community and outlying remote communities within the Barkly Region.
You will work Monday to Friday standard office hours.
No On Call.
Return travel reimbursed up to $**** and accommodation provided ASAP start, 6-8week contract + possible extension Upto $85 per hour depending on experience + superannuation.
Option for living away from home tax benefits – more take home pay, approx.
$7-8 dollars more per hour!
You must be confident working with minimal support.
This is a senior level role.
Not suitable for junior clinicians You will ensure delivery of high quality, culturally appropriate and effective alcohol and other drugs services whilst providing clinical leadership and supervision to Allied Health Professionals within NT Health.
This position is required to work within a multi-disciplinary team providing and supporting specialist service delivery to the township of Tennant Creek and outlying remote communities within the Barkly Region.
, Applicants will be required to hold a drivers licence and be required to reside in / or travel to remote communities via 4WD or light aircraft in the Barkly region.
Key duties and responsibilities Provide timely, clinically and culturally appropriate mental health, alcohol and other drugs services within a multidisciplinary framework.




Provide expert advice on program and clinical issues within mental health, alcohol and other drugs services Provide management, leadership, supervision, mentorship and education to staff and students.
Independently organise and manage a high volume complex workload within a dynamic and evolving work environment to ensure timelines and health outcomes are met.
Initiate, implement and complete research, continuous quality improvement and service development activities at a local or regional level to ensure delivery of contemporary mental health, alcohol and other drugs services.
Lead and/or monitor the achievement of work unit goals and key performance indicators Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, protected services and workplaces.
Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
