Manpower is looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our specialist national recruitment team.
The role is based in Melbourne, with a national desk focus across engineering, trades, technical, HSEQ and skilled blue-collar recruitment markets.
This is a true 360 role.
You will build client relationships, develop new business, source candidates, qualify roles properly, give market advice and manage recruitment processes end to end.
Permanent recruitment will be the core focus, with senior contractors and specialist interim placements also forming a key growth area.
This role will suit someone who understands recruitment is more than sending CVs.
It is about building trust, knowing your market, representing candidates properly and helping clients make better hiring decisions.

What you will be doing You will manage the full 360 recruitment lifecycle across a national specialist desk.
Your role will include: Developing new business and growing existing client relationships.
Taking detailed client briefs and qualifying roles before delivery begins.
Sourcing candidates through direct approach, Bullhorn, LinkedIn, SEEK, referrals, networking and market mapping.
Building talent communities across engineering, trades, technical, HSEQ and skilled blue-collar markets.
Advising clients on salary, availability, hiring process and market conditions.
Managing interviews, feedback, offers, counteroffers, onboarding and aftercare.
Building a qualified pipeline of permanent and senior contractor opportunities.
Keeping client, candidate, role and activity records accurate in Bullhorn.
Using AI and recruitment technology responsibly to support research, sourcing, job ads, candidate summaries and market insight.
What you will bring You do not need to have worked across every sector listed.
Strong recruitment fundamentals matter more.
We are looking for someone with: Proven 360 recruitment experience.
Experience recruiting in engineering, trades, technical, skilled blue-collar, industrial, manufacturing, defence, infrastructure, resources, energy, utilities, HSEQ or similar markets.
Strong sales, business development and client management skills.
Experience managing permanent recruitment assignments.
Some exposure to temp, contract, contractor or labour hire recruitment.
Strong sourcing skills, including direct approach and passive candidate engagement.
Confidence speaking with hiring managers, technical leaders and senior stakeholders.




Commercial judgement and the ability to qualify roles properly.
Clear communication, follow-through and genuine candidate care.
Good CRM or ATS discipline.
Interest in AI, automation and recruitment technology.
Experience with Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search or AI sourcing tools will be well regarded.
