Role Overview: As the Principle Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to support various financial reporting functions.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparation of statutory ASX financial reports, including half-yearly and annual audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal reporting frameworks.
Working closely with external auditors throughout the audit process, preparing audit files, supporting financial statement reviews, and responding to audit queries to ensure timely completion of reporting obligations.
Reviewing monthly consolidated trial balances, maintaining the chart of accounts, performing journal reviews, managing consolidation adjustments, and completing balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
Supporting group consolidation activities, tax effect modelling, and financial analysis, including the preparation of quarterly cash flow reporting and insights into the organisation's financial performance.
Providing treasury support through cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, banking reconciliations, payment reviews, and assisting with the effective management of working capital and funding requirements.
Supporting treasury operations including monitoring cash positions, assisting with banking activities,



reviewing transactional flows, and contributing to the optimisation of cash management processes.
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities, contributing to projects that enhance efficiency, controls, and business outcomes.
Providing support across the wider finance team, including assisting the Financial Accountant and contributing to month-end, reporting, and ad hoc financial initiatives as required.
Your Profile: 5+ years' experience across complex corporate environments, ideally combining a Big 4 accounting background with 4+ years' experience within an ASX-listed organisation.
Strong technical accounting foundation with experience applying Australian Accounting Standards, supporting financial reporting, compliance and audit requirements.
Experienced in researching accounting treatments and preparing technical accounting position papers to support business decisions and regulatory obligations.
Proven ability to work with ERP systems, maintain financial integrity and support accurate month-end, year-end and statutory reporting processes.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse financial data and produce accurate reporting outputs.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Comfortable partnering with internal stakeholders, external auditors and cross-functional teams within fast-paced corporate environments.
Professional and collaborative communicator with the ability to build solid relationships across all levels of an organisation.
