The Prospect We are partnering with a well-established and growing retail business to recruit a commercially minded interim Finance Manager.
This is an excellent prospect for an experienced finance professional who enjoys balancing hands-on financial management with business partnering and team leadership.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day finance function, delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.
You'll also mentor and develop junior members of the finance team while working closely with stakeholders across the business.
The Role Key responsibilities include: Lead month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
Prepare and review weekly, monthly and annual management reports, including KPI reporting, variance analysis and cash flow reporting.
Support the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process, providing meaningful commercial insights to senior stakeholders.
Partner with operational teams to provide financial guidance across inventory, logistics, supplier management and working capital.
Review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end activities.
Oversee financial controls, governance and compliance, including tax and statutory obligations.
Review key finance functions including payroll,
payments and reconciliations.
Support ad hoc commercial projects and strategic initiatives as the business continues to grow.
About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring: CA qualification.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant role with leadership responsibilities.
Strong financial reporting, analytical skills, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting experience.
Strong understanding of financial controls, tax compliance and accounting standards.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for process improvement.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
