Sharp Carter has partnered exclusively with this well-established organisation to appoint a newly created Technology Infrastructure Manager.
Following a restructure of the Technology function, this role has been created to provide dedicated leadership across Infrastructure while driving the organisation's transition from a traditional on-premises environment to a modern, cloud-first technology landscape.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you'll lead a team of six technical specialists, providing strategic direction, developing capability and driving operational excellence.
The cloud architecture has already been designed and the transformation is underway—now the business needs an experienced leader to guide the team through the journey.
This is a leadership role rather than a hands-on engineering position.
You'll be responsible for challenging legacy thinking, modernising infrastructure practices and fostering a culture centred around automation, reliability and continuous improvement.
The Role: Leading a team comprising a Technical Lead, Senior Cloud Engineer, two Cloud Engineers, a Systems Administrator and an Oracle DBA, you'll be responsible for: Leading, mentoring and developing the Infrastructure team through coaching and regular 1:1s.
Owning the availability, performance and reliability of infrastructure services across cloud and on-premise environments.
Driving Azure cloud adoption and supporting the ongoing infrastructure transformation.
Championing automation, Infrastructure as Code and platform standardisation.




Overseeing infrastructure operations, lifecycle management, monitoring and operational performance.
Partnering with Information Security to strengthen security, resilience and compliance.
Managing capacity planning, cost optimisation, disaster recovery and business continuity.
Working closely with Service Management to deliver reliable, customer-focused technology services.
Providing strategic reporting, insights and recommendations across infrastructure operations.
About You: You'll be an experienced Infrastructure or Cloud leader who has grown from a strong technical background into management.
You understand what good technology services look like, enjoy developing people and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.
You'll bring: Experience leading Infrastructure or Cloud teams.
Strong Azure and hybrid infrastructure knowledge.
Exposure to cloud migration or technology transformation programs.
A service management mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience driving automation and modern infrastructure practices.
A team-oriented leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement.
