The business operates across commercial, government and defence-related construction and is looking to strengthen its HSEQ capability across a growing project portfolio.
About the Role This is a hands-on, site-focused position supporting multiple projects across South East Queensland.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, supervisors and subcontractors to maintain compliance, improve safety performance and ensure HSEQ standards are consistently applied across each project.
Key responsibilities will include: Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews Reviewing subcontractor SWMS and high-risk construction activities Supporting project teams with day-to-day HSEQ matters Managing incident investigations, corrective actions and close-out Maintaining HSEQ documentation and reporting systems Supporting inductions, pre-starts and toolbox meetings Coaching Site Managers, supervisors and subcontractors Assisting with client,



internal and external audits Driving practical improvements across multiple projects Travelling between projects from the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane to the Gold Coast About You You will be an experienced construction safety qualified who is comfortable operating independently and working directly with site teams.
You will ideally have: Previous experience as a WHS, HSE or HSEQ Advisor within commercial construction Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and site compliance Experience reviewing SWMS, conducting audits and managing incidents Confidence engaging with workers, subcontractors and senior project staff Strong documentation, reporting and systems capability Experience with HammerTech or a similar HSEQ platform A practical, approachable and solutions-focused style Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across South East Queensland Government, Defence, or other highly regulated project experience will be highly regarded.
