Data Analytics Reporting Specialist Multiple location VIC ACT NSW QLD SA 12 months contract with 2*12 months extensions Ability to get Baseline clearance Are you a data professional who enjoys turning complex information into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making?
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Reporting Specialist to join a high-performing Finance Projects and Systems team within a large Federal Government agency.
This role offers the opportunity to work across finance, reporting, systems and analytics functions, partnering with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver innovative reporting solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll be a proactive and collaborative professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for leveraging data to improve business outcomes.
You will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities: Sourcing, transforming and interpreting data into actionable metrics and insights.
Producing a suite of reports, interpreting data, and analysing results using standard and complex statistical techniques.
Managing business and technical reporting including requirements, design, testing, training, and rollout.
Articulating complex information into simple messaging that can be utilised by key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy.
Essential Skills Experience Strong experience using SAS (Enterprise Guide, Viya and/or Visual Analytics).
Advanced ability to write and optimise complex SQL queries and programs .
Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and other Business Intelligence platforms.
Experience working within a government or highly regulated environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear business-focused insights.
Experience using SAP, Public Sector Collections Disbursements module highly desirable Ability to write complex SQL programs Knowledge of Snowflake highly desirable If you are an experienced data and reporting qualified looking to make a meaningful contribution within a complex and dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.
