Blaze Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Hydraulic Service Technician for an established Australian manufacturer and service provider operating in the heavy vehicle and waste-equipment sector.
Based in a Campbellfield workshop , the role involves diagnosing, servicing and repairing truck-mounted waste collection and compaction equipment.
It would suit a trade-qualified fitter with strong hydraulic experience who is comfortable assisting other technicians and apprentices.
Working hours Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am–4:00 pm Friday: 7:30 am–1:00 pm Weekday day shift Overtime available No regular weekend work Christmas and New Year shutdown Key responsibilities Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and basic electrical faults Repair pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses and mechanical components Strip, repair and rebuild equipment and assemblies Read hydraulic, electrical and engineering schematics Complete MIG welding and general repair fabrication Assist technicians and support apprentice development About you Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitting or Fitting and Turning qualification Solid hydraulic fault-finding and repair experience Experience with mobile,



industrial or truck-mounted equipment Ability to read hydraulic and engineering schematics MIG welding and basic fabrication skills Team-focused, safety-conscious and able to work independently Highly regarded Waste collection or compaction equipment experience Truck-mounted hydraulics, hook lifts or tail lifts Mobile plant, forklift or agricultural equipment experience Basic 12 or 24-volt electrical fault-finding Hydraulic hose manufacture MR or HR truck licence What is on offer $*****–$***** per hour, depending on experience Superannuation and overtime Permanent, workshop-based employment Stable weekday hours and early Friday finish Varied mechanical and hydraulic repair work Potential to take on additional leadership responsibilities Apply through SEEK with an up-to-date resume outlining your trade qualifications and hydraulic, mechanical or mobile-equipment experience.
