Passenger Rolling Stock Retrofit Modification Technicians Electrical Mechanical Fitters $***** Per Hour + Penalties Shift Loadings Central Coast, NSW | Monday–Friday | Immediate Start | 3-Month Contract (Extension Opportunities) An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Fitters to join a major passenger rolling stock retrofit project with one of Australia's leading transport organisations.
Working from a modern, purpose-built rail maintenance facility on the Central Coast, you'll be involved in upgrading Australia's newest passenger train fleet while working alongside a highly skilled engineering and maintenance team.
What's on Offer $***** per hour plus penalty rates and shift loadings Monday to Friday | 6:30am – 3:00pm Immediate start Initial 3-month contract with strong extension potential Modern, state-of-the-art rail maintenance facility Reliable project with Australia's leading rail transport provider Key Responsibilities Install and retrofit mechanical and electrical components on passenger rolling stock Carry out electrical cabling, mechanical assembly and precision fitting Perform testing, commissioning and functional checks Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Complete quality,



safety and maintenance documentation Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors and project teams Maintain compliance with rail safety and WHS requirements About YouTo be successful, you will have: Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III or higher) A Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical applicants) Experience within rolling stock, heavy vehicles, mining, defence, aviation, mobile plant or similar industries Strong fault-finding, assembly and troubleshooting skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent safety focus and ability to work independently or within a team Pre-Employment Requirements Successful applicants will be required to complete: Category 3 Rail Medical including Drug Alcohol Screening National Police Check Australian Work Rights Verification Trade Skills Assessment Reference Checks RIW Card (if not already held) If you're an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Tradesperson looking to work on one of Australia's largest passenger rolling stock projects, we'd love to hear from you.
