An excellent opportunity is available for a practical and motivated Rig Geologist to join a substantial uranium exploration drilling campaign in a remote and highly prospective region of the Northern Territory.
The program includes an extensive combination of reverse circulation and diamond drilling across multiple priority exploration targets.
You will work closely with an experienced exploration team and drilling contractors, providing geological support at the rig and contributing to the successful delivery of the field program.
This position would suit a geologist who enjoys hands-on rig work, can operate confidently in remote conditions and wants exposure to a significant, discovery-focused exploration campaign.
About You Degree-qualified Geologist Minimum three years' exploration geology experience Strong RC drilling and drill-chip logging experience Exposure to diamond drilling and core logging Uranium exploration experience highly regarded Experience working on remote or greenfields exploration programs Strong geological sampling and QAQC knowledge Comfortable supervising drilling contractors and daily rig activities Physically fit and able to work effectively in remote field conditions Robust communication, organisation and reporting skills Current Australian driver's licence Available for an immediate commencement Position Duties Provide geological supervision of RC and diamond drilling Log, photograph and sample RC chips and diamond core Maintain accurate geological, sampling and drilling records Ensure sampling and QAQC procedures are correctly followed Coordinate daily activities with drill contractors and field personnel Complete daily drilling, geological and safety reporting Assist with geological interpretation and ongoing drill planning Maintain accurate geological databases and sample records Support safe and efficient field operations Contribute to a strong safety and teamwork culture Accommodation: Comfortable remote camp accommodation Duration: Initial contract with the potential for extension Commencement: Immediate Experience Minimum 1 + years' experience in exploration geology Current Status OPEN Duration Contract Duty Roster FIFO Perth, Brisbane or Townsville to Darwin 15 days on, 6 days off
