Job Description Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders across various business units.
Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts and agreements.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements within the financial services industry.
Support the management of legal risks by identifying potential issues and providing practical solutions.
Assist with the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
Collaborate with external legal advisers as needed to manage complex legal matters.
Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in legislation affecting the business.
Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on legal and regulatory matters.
The Successful Applicant A successful Legal Counsel will bring: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB/JD) and current admission to practice as a legal practitioner in Australia.




Approximately 2-4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
Strong experience in commercial law, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements.
Sound understanding of Australian regulatory and compliance frameworks, with the ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to managing legal risk.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in supporting business outcomes.
Experience or interest in the renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or broader energy sector will be highly regarded.
