Blend of Manufacturing Finance, Commercial Business Partnering and Divisional FP A Gain exposure well beyond manufacturing, with opportunities to support strategic projects across the wider business Long term opportunities across the business We're working with a well-established and growing Australian organisation looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to support a key division of the business.
While manufacturing will be your core focus initially, this role has been designed to provide exposure across divisional FP A and broader commercial initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a well-rounded commercial finance leader.
Initially partnering closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations on at 12 month fixed term contract, you'll become a trusted commercial advisor, helping drive profitability, improve decision-making and influence business performance.
Alongside this, you'll play a key role in divisional planning, budgeting and forecasting, with increasing exposure to strategic projects and cross-functional business partnering across the wider organisation.
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance while supporting the division's financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include: Partner with Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain leaders to improve commercial performance.
Analyse BOMs, COGS,
product costing and manufacturing variances to identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead divisional budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis.
Deliver margin analysis, pricing reviews and commercial reporting to support key business decisions.
Develop business cases and investment proposals for growth and operational improvements.
Contribute to broader commercial initiatives and strategic projects across the wider business as the role evolves.
About You You'll be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys understanding how businesses operate and influencing decisions through insightful analysis.
You'll ideally bring: CA or CPA qualification.
Experience in Commercial Finance, FP A or Finance Business Partnering within a manufacturing environment.
Robust understanding of BOMs, COGS, standard costing, inventory management and manufacturing finance principles.
Experience leading budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting within a divisional or business partnering environment.
The ability to build credibility with operational stakeholders and simplify complex financial information.
A proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in understanding the commercial drivers of the business.
