We're currently looking for a DevOps Engineering Lead to own, operate and evolve modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure across production Azure environments, on-prem platforms and large-scale migration initiatives.
This role is suited to someone who can work across both cloud and traditional infrastructure , think independently, design practical solutions, and lead a small engineering team while remaining hands-on.
You'll be the technical owner for the platform environment and will help shape standards, tooling, automation, reliability and migration strategy across the business.
The Role Own and operate production Azure environments Lead cloud engineering across APIM, App Services, Azure Functions and AKS Manage Kubernetes platforms including deployments, scaling, networking and observability Support and optimise on-prem infrastructure, including Hyper-V and virtualised environments Drive migration initiatives from on-prem and GCP into Azure Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or similar Champion GitOps practices using ArgoCD or similar tooling Manage Azure networking, identity, RBAC/IAM, governance and cost controls Improve monitoring, alerting, incident response and operational runbooks Support automation, security scanning and policy enforcement Lead and mentor a small DevOps/platform engineering team Work closely with engineering, cyber security,



product and delivery stakeholders Independently assess technical problems and drive solutions through to implementation About You 5+ years' experience across DevOps, platform, infrastructure or cloud engineering Strong hands-on Azure experience in production environments Experience across APIM, App Services, Azure Functions, AKS and Azure networking Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure and on-prem environments Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, Windows Server, networking, DNS, DHCP, firewalls or VPNs Production Kubernetes experience, including troubleshooting and operational support Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or Bicep Good understanding of GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux Strong scripting skills across PowerShell, Bash or Python Comfortable working across both strategic platform decisions and hands-on technical delivery Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly Key Details Permanent full-time role Hybrid working environment Global payments technology company Senior hands-on leadership position Azure-first transformation environment Robust technical ownership and autonomy Opportunity to shape platform standards, tooling and cloud strategy This is a great opportunity for a senior Platform Engineer, DevOps Lead, Cloud Infrastructure Lead or Senior DevOps Engineer who wants real ownership across Azure, Kubernetes, automation and hybrid infrastructure .
