About the Firm Our commercial law firm client is a modern tech forward law firm that acts formajor Australian banks, institutional lenders, and corporations on reputationally sensitive, high-value matters.
The Opportunity The firm is seeking an ambitious, driven Debt Recovery/Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team in the Sydney CBD.
Working hand-in-hand with the partner, you will gain immediate, hands-on exposure to complex commercial borrower disputes, banking litigation, and security enforcements.
This is not a role where you will be hidden in the back room—you will actively manage files from initial instructions straight through to judgment or negotiated resolutions.
Key Responsibilities Litigation Management: Run and assist on a diverse spectrum of financial services litigation, contentious security enforcement, and complex loan recoveries.
Court Advocacy Work: Draft pleadings, affidavits, and submissions etc.
Appear in Court and instruct Counsel.
Attend mediations and settlement conferences.
Client Engagement:



Liaise directly with clients at major Australian financial institutions.
About You Experience: Ideally 1 to 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation, debt recovery, banking disputes, or contested insolvency/recoveries.
Technical Skills: Strong drafting capability, sharp commercial acumen, and a good understanding of court processes.
Mindset: A tech-forward practitioner who thrives in a collaborative, rapid-paced environment.
