Job Description Key Responsibilities Sales Business Development Deliver annual sales, volume, revenue, and profitability targets across the NSW's unconventional channel.
Develop and execute state-based business plans aligned with national sales strategies.
Identify opportunities to expand distribution, increase ranging, and improve product visibility.
Drive recent business acquisition and strategic account development.
Negotiate commercial terms, promotional programs, and annual trading agreements with key customers.
Key Account Management Manage relationships with unconventional Channel.
Convenience wholesalers and distributors.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
Build strong relationships across customer buying, operations, and merchandising teams.
Category Management Execution Develop category growth strategies for snacks, confectionery, impulse, and food-to-go segments.
Analyse shopper trends, sales data, and category performance to recommend range optimisations.
Ensure implementation of planograms, promotional displays, and marketing activations.
Monitor in-store execution and compliance through regular field visits.
Commercial Financial Management Manage trade spend and promotional investment to maximise return on investment.
Analyse sales performance, margins, and customer profitability.
Deliver accurate forecasting and demand planning inputs.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the convenience channel.
Team Leadership Collaboration Lead, coach, and develop Territory Managers, Merchandisers, or Business Development Representatives where applicable.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Reporting Analysis Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
Provide management with insights on customer performance, market opportunities, competitive activity, and sales trends.
Utilise CRM and sales analytics tools to drive data-led decision-making.
The Successful Applicant A successful Sales Manager should have: 5+ years' FMCG sales experience, preferably within snacks, confectionery, beverages, or impulse categories.
Proven success managing key accounts within the unconventional channel.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Experience developing and implementing customer business plans.
Advanced understanding of category management principles.
Strong analytical and financial skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
Current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
