Textile Studio Manager The Textile Studio Manager is responsible for leading the Textile Design team in the creation and delivery of original seasonal artworks across Ready-to-Wear Swim and Resort collections.
The role ensures the successful execution of the Creative Director's vision through leadership, disciplined workflow management, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position oversees artwork development from concept through to pre-production, ensuring all textile artworks are delivered on time, meet creative objectives, uphold intellectual property standards, and support critical path milestones.
The role also drives continuous improvement in processes, and team capability to ensure operational excellence across the Textile Design function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Management Lead and develop the Textile Design team to deliver seasonal textile artwork collections.
Ensure team priorities, resources and workloads are effectively managed to meet deadlines and business objectives.
Allocate artwork development across team members to ensure balanced workloads and efficient resource planning.
Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.
Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent within the Textile Design team.
Provide onboarding, training and ongoing capability development for team members.
Critical Path Manage seasonal artwork workflow, maintaining visibility of priorities, development status and capacity planning.
Monitor progress against critical path deadlines and proactively identify risks or bottlenecks.
Provide weekly Critical Path updates to key stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks and mitigation plans.
Escalate issues that may impact seasonal milestones and work collaboratively to resolve them.
Ensure artworks are reviewed, approved and delivered to key development milestones on time.
Maintain accurate tracking of all artwork development within relevant systems and planning tools.
Oversee the successful handover of artworks into pre-production.
Work closely with Design Room, Product Development and Production teams to ensure alignment across all collection milestones.
Intellectual Property Management Manage artwork creation records, licensing documentation and Intellectual Property processes across all collections.
Ensure compliance with internal IP requirements and maintain accurate supporting documentation throughout development and production.
Liaise with internal legal and production teams to resolve IP-related matters and mitigate risk.
Administration Studio Management Maintain organised artwork archives, colour separation records and development documentation.
Ensure seasonal artwork records are accurate, current and easily accessible.
Support studio standards, visual presentation and workspace organisation.
Workplace Health Safety Contribute to a secure and healthy workplace environment.
Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Report hazards, incidents and risks promptly.
Demonstrate leadership in promoting safe working practices.
