The Role Bring your business acumen to this exciting and challenging role working within a high functioning team environment.
You will be tasked with leading the tax and compliance function , coupled with this to succeed you must have a strong interest and demonstrated ability in business development.
Requirements • Master of Taxation (strongly preferred) • CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent) • Minimum 7+ years of experience in business services and tax advisory, with at least 2–3 years in a management role • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, compliance regulations, and financial reporting • Strong experience with providing year-end financial statements and tax returns as well as tax advice for each tax structure including companies, trusts (unit, hybrid and discretionary), personal, partnerships, SMSF etc • Experience in business structuring, tax planning,



and advisory services • Extensive experience across an array of different industries with a deep expertise in at least 3 • Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software • Demonstrate previous ability to manage a portfolio of SME clients • Experience in dealings with the ATO and other regulatory bodies • Robust leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team as well as outsourced team members where appropriate • Interested in progressing from a technical expert to a partner role which would require client skills, development of personal brand and ability to bring in revenue whilst leading a team.
• Commercial awareness and financial management including oversight of the financial performance of the Tax Compliance team, manage WIP and billings, pricing and profitability • Effective leadership, mentorship and delegation skills • Strategic thinking and participation in the Executive Team working closely with the CEO on the firm's long term goals and objectives Benefits • Potential to become Partner in 1-2 years • 5 day per week office based with opportunity once trained to WFH 1-2 days per week • Work within a close-knit dynamic future focussed team • Excellent salary If you feel you have the skills and experience to fulfill this role please send your resume to ****** or call Rachelle or Helen on ********* for more information.
