Synergie Australia is seeking a Survey Officer (Scientific Assistant – Recreational Fishing) for a Government Department located in the Airlie Beach area.
The important parts: • 4 shifts per month (Friday and weekend)– approx.
***** hours per month • Hourly pay rate $***** + penalty rates • Immediate start – flexible and rewarding role What you will be required to do: This position plays a key role in supporting recreational fishing research and data collection in Queensland.
• Visit local boat ramps in the Airlie Beach area • Interview recreational fishers using a set survey script • Identify, count, and measure fish species • Record and submit accurate data promptly • Provide information and answer questions from the public using supplied resources To be successful in the role you will: • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrate attention to detail for accurate data collection • Bring basic knowledge of fishing and fish species (essential)
