We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced chef for a permanent role.
Job Title: Chef Location: Shop ***** High Street, Ashburton, VIC **** Duration: Permanent (at least 2 years) Employment Type: Full time (38 hours per week) Annual Salary: $79,700 plus superannuation (12%) You will perform the following tasks for the role: Lead and manage kitchen Develop and plan menus Supervise the activities of kitchen Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager Check food to ensure its quality Regulate temperatures of cooking equipments Prepare food for cooking Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. simmering, grilling, braising, frying, roasting or steaming)



Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented Clean food preparation areas and equipment Store food in temperature-controlled facilities Receive and store supplies Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements Give directions to other kitchen staffs Train and supervise other kitchen staffs.
To be considered for the role, you must satisfy the following requirements: At least 3-year work experience in a similar role within the food industry Qualification/s in hospitality - Commercial cookery Excellent cooking skills to prepare authentic and innovative Korean dishes Preferable: Permanent resident or Australian citizen This is a role we are keen to fill ASAP and therefore, we welcome all applications immediately.
