The network underpins some of the most demanding compute environments in the country, where throughput, latency, and resilience are non-negotiable.
This is not a corporate IT environment.
This is a production infrastructure role.
You will be responsible for the networks that keep large-scale, HPC clusters running.
Performance, security, and uptime are the metrics you will be judged on.
Reporting into the infrastructure and engineering team, you will maintain and continuously improve high-performance data centre networks, manage cloud interconnects, and play an active role in expanding the network as the business scales.
You will operate in environments where any degradation in network performance has immediate, tangible consequences.
Network Engineer Responsibilities Maintain and optimise HPC cluster networking environments for enterprise customers Manage public cloud network integrations and private interconnects, including AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute Operate and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control systems Monitor network health, respond to operational alerts, and resolve connectivity, latency,



and performance issues in production Support high-performance switching fabrics and routing environments across data centre locations Roll out new network infrastructure as the data centre footprint expands Design and implement high-availability and redundant network configurations Contribute to capacity planning, performance optimisation, and security posture management Stay across relevant CVEs and advise on network security issues as they emerge Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on troubleshooting and infrastructure design Network Engineer Requirements A technically strong network operator, comfortable in quick-moving production environments, who understands the demands of high-throughput, low-latency compute infrastructure and has operated at real scale.
Required Solid hands-on experience across switching and routing platforms, including Mellanox/Spectrum, Cisco, and Juniper Strong understanding of eBGP, EVPN, ZTNA, IPv4, and IPv6 networking Familiarity with AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute Strong Linux OS and networking stack knowledge Exposure to virtualisation and container networking across KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes Proven experience implementing high-availability and resilient network architectures in production data centre environments Desirable Experience supporting AI or HPC networking environments Exposure to GPU compute cluster networking and high-throughput or low-latency switching fabrics Multi-data centre infrastructure experience If interested, please reach out with your most up-to-date CV I'll be in touch.
