About us Wong-derful Restaurant is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
This role is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Shanghai cuisine using traditional regional cooking methods and techniques.
The successful candidate will specialise in the preparation of traditional Shanghainese dishes.
The role also involves maintaining food quality and consistency, supporting menu development, and training junior kitchen staff in traditional Shanghai cooking methods.
About the role · Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and profitable service delivery.
· Coordinate restaurant staff, including rostering, training and performance management.
· Monitor customer service standards and promptly address customer feedback and complaints.
· Maintain compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and licensing requirements.
· Manage stock control, purchasing and supplier relationships.
· Assist in budgeting, cost control and achieving business performance targets.
· Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and revenue.




· Coordinate special events, promotions and marketing activities.
· Ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service quality.
· Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Skills and Experience · At least 2 years of relevant restaurant management or hospitality management experience.
· Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related field will be highly regarded.
· Robust leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
· Sound knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
· Experience in managing restaurant budgets, stock control and staff rostering.
