We're currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver mechanical building services across a varied pipeline of workplace projects.
You'll work directly with clients, architects, project managers and other engineering disciplines - providing technical advice, developing coordinated mechanical solutions and taking projects from concept design through to IFC documentation and construction assistance.
The Role Design mechanical building services for commercial office fit-outs and refurbishments Develop HVAC, ventilation and exhaust system designs Design supplementary cooling and standalone mechanical systems Provide advice on existing plant upgrades and building capacity Develop BMS and mechanical control system designs Support mechanical services for data rooms and critical environments Complete mechanical audits, calculations, equipment selections and technical reports Take client briefs and translate requirements into practical design solutions Coordinate with architects, project managers and other engineering disciplines Produce concept,



design development and IFC documentation Provide construction assistance, respond to RFIs and complete site inspections Support commissioning and project handover activities About You Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with local building services experience Experience delivering commercial office fit-out or refurbishment projects Strong HVAC, ventilation, mechanical controls and BMS design capability Familiarity with Australian Standards, the NCC and local building requirements Experience taking projects from concept through to IFC and construction Confident working directly with clients and senior project stakeholders Able to manage your own projects and work autonomously Competent using AutoCAD Revit experience would be a bonus Strong communication, coordination and technical documentation skills Key Details Permanent full-time position Hybrid Role Melbourne CBD location Commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects Client-facing role with ownership across the full project lifecycle Cooperative and social team environment This is a great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Building Services Engineer or experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ready to take greater ownership across clients, design and project delivery.
