About the Business Krikosh Pty Ltd has recently taken over the operations of Zevar Jewellery , an established jewellery e-commerce business offering fashionable and quality jewellery products to customers across Australia.
As part of our growth and expansion strategy, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Retail Buyer to manage jewellery sourcing, supplier relationships, product selection, inventory planning and purchasing activities for our online retail business.
The successful candidate will play an important role in developing our product range, identifying emerging jewellery trends and ensuring that the right products are available at the right price and at the right time.
Key Responsibilities Research and analyse jewellery, fashion and e-commerce market trends, consumer preferences and competitor activity to determine product requirements.
Select and source jewellery products, including necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, bangles, pendants, bridal jewellery, fashion jewellery, gift sets and related accessories.
Identify new product opportunities based on customer demand, seasonal trends, festivals, weddings, gifting periods and online sales performance.
Develop product ranges that align with Zevar Jewellery's brand positioning, target customer market and commercial objectives.
Negotiate with domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers regarding product pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, delivery schedules and supply agreements.
Assess product quality, materials, finishing, packaging, durability, design suitability and value before approving products for sale.
Ensure jewellery products comply with relevant Australian consumer laws, product safety requirements, material disclosure obligations and company quality standards.
Monitor stock levels, replenishment requirements, lead times and inventory turnover to maintain appropriate stock availability while minimising excess or slow-moving inventory.
Review sales reports, customer purchasing behaviour, profit margins, return rates and product performance to support informed buying decisions.




Prepare seasonal buying plans and purchasing budgets for important sales periods, including Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Diwali, Eid, wedding seasons and promotional campaigns.
Build and maintain professional relationships with jewellery manufacturers, wholesalers, designers, importers and packaging suppliers.
Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement, supplier, pricing, inventory and product records.
Coordinate with logistics providers, warehouses and suppliers to monitor shipments and resolve delivery delays, damaged products, shortages or incorrect orders.
Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to plan new product launches, promotional offers, product bundles and online campaigns.
Provide accurate product information to the website team, including product descriptions, materials, dimensions, care instructions, pricing and other relevant details.
Coordinate with photography, content and marketing teams to ensure new products are prepared and launched online on schedule.
Evaluate supplier performance in relation to product quality, pricing, communication, delivery reliability and order accuracy.
Manage supplier risks and recommend alternative suppliers, recent product categories or changes to underperforming product ranges.
Monitor competitor pricing and recommend suitable retail prices, promotional discounts and profit margins.
Assist with maintaining a commercially attractive, diverse and regularly updated online jewellery collection.
Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in retail buying, procurement, merchandise planning or product sourcing.
Experience within the jewellery, fashion, accessories, lifestyle products or e-commerce industry is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of jewellery categories, materials, styles,



quality standards and current consumer trends.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to select products that meet customer demand while achieving suitable profit margins.
Strong negotiation, supplier-management and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyse sales data, inventory reports, customer trends and product performance.
Understanding of e-commerce retail operations, online promotions, product launches and seasonal sales cycles.
Experience sourcing products from Australian and international suppliers is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing purchasing records, product specifications and inventory.
Ability to manage multiple product categories, suppliers and purchasing deadlines simultaneously.
Competency in Microsoft Excel, inventory-management systems and e-commerce platforms will be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications in business, retail management, procurement, fashion merchandising, marketing or a related field are desirable.
