Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
This vacancy is eligible for a NSW Health Rural Health Incentive package of up to $**** per year in addition to award entitlements (paid on a pro-rata basis for part time employees) and/or Accommodation assistance when requested
What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, effective and effective nursing care for people experiencing mental health problems that reflect current National practice standards for mental health, current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
All nursing positions are expected to be able to work across all components of the mental health service including inpatient and community-based services
About You
You hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, reflecting your commitment to professional standards and safe practice.
You apply nursing skills and knowledge that are directly relevant to mental health care, demonstrating a capacity to work confidently with consumers who present with complex needs.
Your clinical judgement is steady and reliable, enabling you to assess situations quickly, identify risks and implement interventions that maximise patient safety and therapeutic outcomes.
You communicate with clarity and purpose, using information technology,



written documentation and verbal interaction to ensure that care is accurately recorded, shared and understood.
You contribute meaningfully within multidisciplinary environments, coordinating care in a way that supports continuity, promotes recovery and aligns with evidence‐based practice.
Your ability to plan, organise and prioritise allows you to manage competing demands while maintaining a strong focus on patient‐centred outcomes.
You participate willingly in a seven‐day rotating roster, including night duty and public holidays, recognising the importance of consistent service delivery in mental health settings.
You bring professionalism, resilience and a calm presence to your work, ensuring that consumers receive high‐quality care regardless of the time or circumstances.
