This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position commencing Term 1, **** with possible extension and/or permanency.
The Role
As a key member of the administrative team, the Head of Learning Area – English will work closely with the Principal to provide educational leadership both within the school and the broader community.
Your primary focus will be on developing and promoting the school's vision, encouraging active participation from school staff, community volunteers, and other stakeholders within the English learning area.
You will also serve as a curriculum leader, providing professional guidance to English teachers, ensuring they stay informed on relevant curriculum issues, facilitating teaching and learning outcomes, employing effective performance‐management strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among the school's academic community.
Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Teaching experience, preferably in ATAR English, and a strong knowledge of the Australian curriculum.
Ability to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
High level of interpersonal and public‐relations skills to establish and maintain effective relationships.
Professional knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge to ensure high educational outcomes for all students, including Aboriginal students, those from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs.
Experience in staff, physical and financial resource management.

Registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
