Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Goodman Fielder, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter in Burleigh Heads.

We are seeking our next Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our Burleigh Heads maintenance team, commencing in February **** .
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll learn to maintain, repair and improve the automated machinery that produces some of Australia's favourite bakery products enjoyed by millions of people every day.

At Burleigh Heads you'll work on a huge variety of industrial equipment including: High-speed automated production lines Industrial robots and automated storage systems Conveyors and packaging machinery Pumps, gearboxes and drive systems Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment Steam, compressed air and process equipment Bearings, chains, belts and power transmission systems No two days are the same.




You'll gain practical experience across an entire manufacturing facility while learning from highly skilled Mechanical Fitters and Engineers.
What you'll learn Throughout your apprenticeship you'll develop skills in: Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs Preventive maintenance and equipment inspections Precision alignment and fitting techniques Bearing and gearbox replacement Welding and fabrication Reading engineering drawings Safe isolation and maintenance practices Working with modern automated manufacturing equipment You'll also complete a nationally recognised: Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade What's in it for you?

hands-on work Likes solving mechanical problems Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn Is reliable and turns up ready to work Works well in a team Takes pride in doing a quality job Has a strong commitment to safety Previous experience isn't required.
If you've completed a Certificate II in Engineering, undertaken school-based engineering, automotive or metalwork subjects, that's a bonus - but it's certainly not essential.
