Role Overview
As a Quality Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in investigating, identifying, and resolving issues across design, installation, commissioning, manufacturing, and operational stages of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related electrical systems.
The role requires strong technical expertise along with problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration in factory, supplier, and shop‐floor quality environments.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming and In-Process Support
Support in managing and developing programs and reporting systems across global product lines in collaboration with Program Management.
Issue Resolution Leadership
Lead and drive issue resolution through cross-functional collaboration and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation and Quality Record Maintenance
Maintain quality records including inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance logs, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
Testing and Validation Support
Assist in testing and validation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) including functional testing, safety checks, wiring verification, and system-level commissioning.
Issue Triage & Quality Management
Manage NCR triage, tracking, and closure
Track and drive 8D corrective actions to closure
Perform NCR trend analysis and elevate issues
Track JIRA tickets (technical requests) and ensure closure
Handle change requests and deviations tracking
Supplier, Factory & Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with suppliers, factory teams, engineering, and project teams to drive issue resolution
Conduct supplier audits (internal & third-party)
Support technical bulletin development and release
Actively support factory/shop-floor quality execution and supplier-facing quality activities
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and maintain NCR, 8D, bi-weekly and monthly reports
Provide insights through data-driven quality analysis
Product Readiness & Continuous Improvement
Support new product readiness (including software)
Capture and implement lessons learned
Work with warranty teams for issue cost estimation
Participate in CM site visits
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
1–3+ years of experience in quality, engineering, manufacturing quality, or operations roles
Experience handling non-conformities and quality systems (CAPA/NCR/8D preferred)
Strong exposure to electrical systems and inverters; experience with battery/BESS technologies is preferred
Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and manufacturing/shop-floor quality activities
Experience working directly with suppliers and factory quality teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on "doer" mindset
Exposure to renewable energy projects is preferred
Additional Expectations

Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment
Understanding of compliance, validation, and risk mitigation processes
Ability to drive corrective actions to closure rather than only reviewing or supervising activities
Direct involvement in root cause analysis, NCR ownership, and factory-based quality execution will be highly preferred
