A chance to work at a well-established underground hardrock site in central SA Long term contract for job security Permanent position on offer after an initial contract through Marble The mine site Operating in central SA, this large-scale underground hard-rock mine is a mature operation with a strong safety culture and a consistent demand for skilled trades and operators.
You will enjoy: 2:2 roster (days and nights) working 12 hour days A well-connected team culture, that believes in support and training FIFO from most major capital cities with flights paid meals and accommodation provided Enjoy a modern, clean accommodation provided with gyms, sports facilities, wet and dry mess The role Reporting directly to the maintenance supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a diverse role where you'll develop a broad range of skill in both the workshop and in the field.
Working in a close-knit team you will be involved with: Workshop - servicing, preventative and scheduled maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics and major component change outs Field - underground breakdowns, fault finding, and diagnostics Working on a fleet of fleet of agi trucks, Sandvik cablebolters, spray rigs, IT's and a range of mine spec light vehicles.
Your skills and experience Ideally, you will come from a background working as an UG heavy diesel mechanic working on the duties listed above.
However,



applications are also open for diesel mechanics with experience on working on agi trucks and other mobile plant machinery.
You will have: Trade qualification (Heavy mechanical cert III) A good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanic and electrical fault finding and repair 12+ months underground hardrock mining experience (highly advantageous) An excellent attitude towards work and desire to work in an underground hardrock mine Ability to work on machinery in the field and workshop Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment Driver's license Contract and salary Marble is partnered with this underground mining contractor to supply long term employees to the site.
The opportunity exists to join the company on an initial 6-month contract through Marble and transition over to the clients' books after a short probation period (depending on performance and availability).
