Parkes District Hospitals is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to work in a energetic acute care setting in Parkes, NSW, providing emergency triage and patient assessment. The role runs for approximately 24 weeks from August 2026 to February 2027, offering a competitive hourly rate of AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 plus superannuation. You'll be part of a team that values clinical excellence and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

- Lead ED triage operations with responsibility for shift coordination and patient flow
- AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, plus superannuation and contract flexibility
- 24-week contract in a busy emergency department with scope to develop your acute care skills

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department, particularly in triage
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Proven ability to work in charge of the shift and manage competing priorities
- Strong clinical assessment skills and sound decision-making in high-acuity environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing
- Familiarity with the Australasian Triage Scale and electronic medical record systems
