DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Director - Cultural Safety Learning (EL1) to join a Federal Government agency based in Adelaide CBD. This is a unique prospect to lead the development and delivery of cultural safety learning initiatives that strengthen workforce capability and support improved outcomes for First Nations peoples with disability.

Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you will lead strategic learning programs, engage with key stakeholders and contribute to initiatives that embed cultural safety across the organisation.

The Role
You will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of cultural safety learning and capability development initiatives, ensuring programs align with organisational priorities and support meaningful outcomes. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll provide strategic advice, drive engagement activities and champion best-practice learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and delivery of cultural safety learning and workforce capability programs.
- Provide high-level advice, reports and briefings to senior stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with First Nations peoples, communities and organisations.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, consultation and co-design activities.
- Monitor program outcomes, risks, deliverables and performance measures.
- Lead and mentor team members while fostering a positive workplace culture.

To be considered, you will bring

- Demonstrated experience leading learning, training or workforce capability programs.
- Strong instructional design capability and knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Experience working with First Nations peoples, communities and organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.

Highly Regarded

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)



or equivalent.
- Qualifications in Education, Human Resources, Training, Indigenous Studies, Public Policy or a related discipline.
- Experience working within government, policy, learning and development or service delivery environments.
