Gulgong District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis from now through 31 October 2026. Based at Gulgong MPS in NSW, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic ED environment where your triage expertise and clinical leadership will make a real difference. The position is remunerated at AUD45.00 to AUD60.00 per hour, with the flexibility of contract work and the chance to develop your emergency nursing practice in a supportive setting.

- Lead ED triage operations and work in charge of the shift when required
- AUD45.00 to AUD60.00 per hour, contract to 31 October 2026
- Based at Gulgong MPS, NSW, with scope to build your emergency department experience

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in emergency department triage assessment and patient prioritisation
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Ability to work in charge of the shift and manage ED operations independently
- Strong clinical assessment skills and sound decision-making in a quick-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across the multidisciplinary ED team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in Emergency Nursing
- Familiarity with the Australasian Triage Scale and electronic medical record systems
